Description

Key Characters:

Growth Form: Trees, deciduous, to 15 m tall.

Stems: Branchlets slightly pubes­cent or subglabrous.

Roots:

Leaves: Leaves compound (pinnae 3-5 pairs). Alternate. Blades 15-20 cm; leaflets 6-12 pairs, ovate to subrhombic, 3-4.5 × 1.2-2.2 cm. Apex obtuse or emarginate. Base oblique. Surfaces sparsely appressed pubescent. Blades subleathery. Main vein closer to lower side. Petioles with an oblong gland ca. 1 cm above base; petiolules ca. 2 mm; Stipules small.

Flowers: Heads ca. 20-flowered, arranged in axillary or terminal panicles. Flowers perfect, uniform, sessile. Calyx 5-toothed, 2-3 mm, glabrous. Corolla 5-lobed, yellow-white, ca. 6 mm; lobes lanceolate, ca. 2.5 mm, apex pubescent. Staminal tube longer than corolla tube. Ovary superior, glabrous, subsessile.

Fruit: Legume ligulate; flat; 10-15 × 1.5-2.5 cm; glabrous. Seeds 8-12; obovoid-elliptic; pleurogram obovate-elliptic.
